My favourite vintage mid-century home pieces

I'm a massive home decor lover. Like most people I have a slight obsession with house plants and candles to create a homely vibe to the place, but one thing you will often find scattered about my place is vintage mid-century pieces. I have my best friend Catherine to thank for my increased obsession over the years. It started off with me obsessing over lovely 70's brown, orange and yellow crockery and now I find myself lusting over gorgeous vintage mid-century danish chairs and pieces of furniture. So I'm not sure my bank balance is thanking Catherine for introducing me to a beautiful world of patterns, design and furnishings.

I thought I would share with some of my favourite vintage mid-century home pieces or items that I have in my home and also my tips for picking up vintage items for yourself,  hope you enjoy!

OPTALIX RADIO AND DRIP GLAZE VASE
I have quite a few mid-century vases and radios dotted about, but these two are my favourite, you can usually pick up radios pretty cheaply from antique shops and charity shops if you're lucky.
Most of my mid-century vases I have picked up for around a tenner.
My favourite places for picking up small little vintage home bits for a good price are:

Past and Present, Forest Road East, Nottingham
Lady Heyes, Cheshire
Blakemere Antiques, Cheshire

70's MUSHROOM CURTAINS

I have so many pairs of 70's orange curtains. I have always managed to pick them up really cheap in charity shops. I have never paid more than 6 quid for a pair of curtains so be careful not to over pay! When shopping for any vintage items I would highly recommend checking online to see the value if you can. I have come across many antique shops that massively overprice their stock, so being clued up on the more expensive items could save you money!

BLACK AND WHITE WICKER CHAIR

I just love everything about this chair. Gorgeous home statement pieces like this can really add something different to your home, I'm always on the hunt for lovely mid-century chairs!

LITTLE TRIANGLE SIDE TABLE

I really love these style tables, and I'm a sucker for legs like these on any pieces of furniture. I use tables like these for putting plants on but they would also make a nice little bedside table!
