Another area that we visited on our Scottish road trip in June was the Trossachs. We visited it on our way up on our trip and also coming back down. The campsites we stayed in were perfect, we stayed in both Loch Chon and Loch Lubnaig. Both times our pitches were right on the Loch's it was gorgeous. We even dropped on with the weather in Loch Lubnaig which was handy as they provide fire pits and picnic benches for each pitch.
I am going to do a separate post of all the places we stayed in during our road trip and some tips and tricks for roadtrippin' in Scotland - so keep an eye out for that if you would like to know more about where to stay!
Things we got up to in The Trossachs:
1. Visted Loch Lomand - we even kayaked on the lake at Luss, which is something I would recommend doing, it was a lot of fun, you can hire out all of the equipment you need at Loch Lomond Leisure, Luss!
2. Went to Callander, a lovely little town with the best sweetie and ice cream shop - they even do Iron Bru slushie!
3. Fed the Highland Cows at Kilmahog, so just past the town of Callander is a woollen mill shop that has three beautiful Highland Cows in the field next to. For a quid you can buy a bag of fruit and veg and feed them, it was amazing, they are such gorgeous creatures! (Obviously, please don't feed the cows anything you have, it MUST be the food provided by the shop)
4. Aberfoyle is another cute little town, we got fish and chips there on the first night we were in Scotland!
