Day trip to Matlock Bath

A few weeks back now I visited Matlock Bath in Derbyshire for a day! I have wanted to visit for quite some time as I had heard it was a lovely part of Derbyshire and that the Heights of Abraham were definitely worth a visit!

The first thing we did when we got there was go on the cable car up to the Heights of Abraham. The view from the top is incredible, and your cable car ticket also gets you in for a tour of the cavern, an old mining cave, which was also pretty cool.
At the top there is also a cafe, somewhere to grab an ice cream and gift shop as well as a few other things that I didn't check out whilst I was there.

After the cable car we had a mooch around the main high street, there is a nice selection of cafes and a tonne of fish and chip places, so you won't be stuck to find somewhere for lunch! I also found this awesome little hippie shop, called Equatorial, with the best selection of trousers, so if you are like me and love shifting through indian embellished throws and endless baggy patterned trousers you will LOVE this shop!
